Breakfast is served in the conservatory, with panoramic views over
the surrounding fields. You will see sheep and lambs grazing in the spring
and summer months, and my little family of Guinea Fowl are
a constant source of interest and amusement.

A full cooked breakfast is served at 8.30am.

Please help yourself from the selection of cereals,
muesli and fresh fruit on the dresser.

Fruit Juice

A Dish of freshly prepared Fruit (something different each day)
(perhaps melon & mango, or freshly-segmented grapefruit
& orange or summer berries)

Your Yorkshire Breakfast includes:
Bacon and Sausage, Mushrooms and Tomatoes
(Cooked in the Aga, and presented on a serving platter)
Free Range Eggs (Eggs are cooked to order and can
be Fried, Poached, Scrambled or Boiled).

White and Granary or Wholemeal Toast & Butter,
Homemade Marmalade, Strawberry Jam

A Cafetière of Coffee
or
A Pot of Tea (Taylor's Yorkshire Tea or Earl Grey)
A selection of herbal teas and infusions is also available

Breakfast Suppliers

Bacon and Sausages are supplied by Waind's the traditional
family butcher (established in 1885) in Kirkbymoorside.

Free Range Eggs are supplied by Westfield Wholesome Foods of Great Edstone. Mrs Sarah Green has flocks of Black Rock and Rhode Island Red chickens and delivers the eggs to me each week. Each egg is stamped with “Date of Lay” so are guaranteed to be “Extra Fresh”. Occasionally, the
eggs are available for you to purchase to take home with you.

Bread comes from the Stonehouse Bakery in Danby. A wide range
of speciality bread and patisserie is available and there
is also a Tea Room attached to the Bakery.

Further Information

Your eggs are cooked to order (fried, scrambled or poached), but other items need longer preparation and cooking time as they are cooked in the Aga.
I prepare a full cooked breakfast for all guests, so it would be helpful if you could let me know in advance if you do not require the cooked breakfast.
